Synthetic voices: Generative AI to break barriers (by Nieves Ábalos)
Nieves Ábalos began with an exciting presentation on synthetic voices. She highlighted how recent advances in AI have allowed these voices to be more natural and expressive, surpassing the robotic tones of the past. She also explained the process behind the creation of these voices, including the use of neural networks to capture human inflection and tonality. She emphasized the importance of these technologies in fields such as accessibility, providing tools for people with speech or hearing disabilities, and in creating richer and more immersive user experiences in the digital world.
Generative Intelligence for advanced interactions (by Noa Cruz)
In this second talk, Noa focused on how these systems can go beyond improving existing interfaces to generate new forms of interaction. She talked about the application of AI in chatbots and virtual assistants, and how they can learn and adapt to the individual needs of users. Cruz also discussed the potential impact on sectors such as customer service and education, where personalized and adaptive interactions can completely transform the user experience.
Exploring the potential of AI models and services (by María Soto)
María closed the event with AI models and services, with an emphasis on Microsoft and Azure OpenAI platforms. She addressed how these tools can be used to drive innovation in companies, from process automation to service personalization. Soto explained how AI cognitive services can analyze large data sets to obtain valuable insights, helping companies make more informed decisions. In addition, she highlighted the importance of an ethical and responsible implementation of these technologies, emphasizing the need to consider data privacy and security in their use.
The event in Madrid was a clear indicator of how generative AI is redefining the technological landscape. Our speakers offered a detailed look at the forefront of this revolution, from the creation of synthetic voices to the exploitation of cognitive services for business purposes. These advances not only improve human interaction and optimize business processes, but also open the door to a future where technology is more deeply integrated into our daily lives, improving the quality of our experiences and decisions.
